Coming soon: The Carrie Diaries

Nyt on pakko päästä hehkuttamaan... Postin setä kantoi minulle eilen paketin, josta paljastui huhtikuun lopussa julkaistu Candace Bushnellin The Carrie Diaries. Bongasin tämän jo kuukausia sitten netistä, ja pakkohan se oli tilata heti, kun mahdollista. Taas yksi kirja, jonka suomentamista en todellakaan jaksa odottaa.

Ei, en sentään ihan vielä ole kirjaa saanut luettua. Dan Brownin Kadonnut symboli on edelleen kesken, liekö syy omissa kiireissä vai siinä, että Robert Langdonin seikkailut alkavat olla jo aikansa eläneitä. Joka tapauksessa, yritän nyt saada tuon Brownin loppuun mahdollisimman nopeasti, jotta pääsen tämän kimppuun.

Kuten kirjan nimestä jo arvata saattaa, tämä liittyy jollain tapaa Sinkkuelämään. The Carrie Diaries kertoo siis Carriesta ennen kuin hänestä tuli Sinkkuelämän Carrie. Eli siis teinivuosista, ajasta ennen kolumnistin uraa, ajasta ennen Samanthaa, Mirandaa ja Charlottea. Sinkkuelämää 2 -elokuvan ensi-iltaa odotellessa tämä on siis (toivottavasti) mitä mainiointa luettavaa.
